Roadway Engineer
Description
Mendrop Engineering Resources seeks qualified responses from persons for a full time position as a Roadway Engineer/Intern.
This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of different roadway projects. At times, this position will work directly as the client interface representing the firm.

Duties include but are not limited to those listed below:
- Perform roadway design including horizontal and vertical geometry
- Perform roadway drainage design
- Create 3D models using MicroStation OpenRoads
- Prepare construction plans including typical sections, erosion control plans, pavement marking details, and traffic control plans
- Prepare cost estimates and calculate quantities
- Work collaboratively with teammates
- Assist in project quality control/quality assurance
Details
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Proficiency with MicroStation GEOPAK and OpenRoads
- Knowledge of Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) Design Manual and Standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Experience in Roadway Engineering:
- Minimum 3-5 years
- Fundamentals Exam required
- Eligible for Mississippi Licensure
