Survey Technician

Mendrop Engineering Resources is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team in Gluckstadt, Batesville, or Vicksburg, Mississippi.

As an Survey Technician, you’ll be part of a collaborative environment where you’ll gain hands-on experience and work alongside experienced surveyors and engineers across a variety of projects.

This position is suited for someone with an interest in survey data processing, mapping, and technical problem-solving. The role focuses on office-based survey support, including processing field data, developing mapping products, developing and maintaining survey mapping and GIS databases, and assisting with deliverables used by engineering and survey teams. There are opportunities to grow technical skills and take on increasing responsibility over time.

What You’ll Do: 

• Processing and interpreting survey data from conventional field surveys and remote sensing sources, including UAS platforms
• Developing digital terrain models (DTMs) derived from data and point files using various CAD software models
• Develop maps, exhibits, and other survey deliverables using CAD and related software
• Supporting the preparation of boundary descriptions, easements, and rights-of-way documents
• Performing quality checks to help ensure accuracy and completeness of survey data
• Coordinating with survey and engineering team members to support project needs
• Assisting with the organization and management of survey data and project files
