In 2019, the City of Batesville bonded $8 million for several projects, including sanity sewer improvements along Highway 35 and Sand Creek. Located on the north side of Batesville, the project will upgrade existing infrastructure as well as provide critical infrastructure for this rapidly developing area of the City of Batesville and Panola County.
Mendrop Engineering Resources (MER) has provided right-of-way easements and survey for this project and is currently developing plans and specifications for the sanitary sewer improvements. The proposed improvements include approximately 12,000 feet of gravity interceptor sewers, approximately 3,300 linear feet of force main, and approximately 2 pump stations. MER will be performing construction engineering services upon approval of plans and bidding and award of the contract.
