The Concourse

Working with the Panola Partnership, the City of Batesville, Panola County, and Northwest Community College, MER has taken the lead on concept development, cost estimating, and project coordination for this innovative plan.

The Concourse will help provide the infrastructure necessary for further development and training of the Panola County workforce. An existing former shopping mall is in the process of being upgraded and outfitted to provide a suitable facility for workforce training programs. Not only does this project provide economic opportunities for the region, it does so by ‘up-cycling’ an existing, empty structure. With huge benefits anticipated for the region, MER, the City of Batesville, and the Panola Partnership have been working hand-in-hand with Northwest Community College to ensure the facilities will meet the educational and occupational needs of the college’s students.
