In 2017, MDOT engaged Mendrop to provide Phase “A” final right-of-way plans, a stream stability study, Phase II Bridge Scour Analysis, and countermeasure design recommendations for the Fair River in the vicinity of US 84 Bridges #74.9 A and B in Lincoln County, MS. Countermeasure alternatives considered included channel realignment, relocation of a bend with longitudinal stone toe revetment and channel bank revetment, and steel sheet pile wall at the existing road emankment. Burns, Cooley, Dennis, Inc. provided bed and bank material analysis at the site.
Upon completion of the initial project, Mendrop was selected to provide Phase III and Phase IV Bridge Scour Evaluations, Phase A – Final Right-of-Way Plans for stream bank stabilization countermeasures, and Phase B – Final Plans services for stream bank stabilization countermeasures.
