Mendrop has continuously worked alongside the City of Batesville to maintain and update their sewer infrastructure and wastewater facilities. Some of the improvements include new aerator rotor covers, new pumps, a new UV light, and new SCADA systems. After conducting an evaluation of the long-term wastewater management needs, Mendrop was contracted to develop a new Wastewater Facilities Plan.

Alcorn State University (ASU) chose Mendrop to address issues in their water system and help bring them into compliance with the Ground Water Rule. Mendrop worked with ASU and the MS State Department of Health (MSDH) to create a reasonable budget and schedule to repair and repainting of two 100,000-gallon elevated water tanks.

The downstream migration of an upstream channel bend was jeopardizing the embankment of State Route 42 and Bridge No. 107.9 over the Chickasawhay River. The Mississippi Department of Transportation contracted Mendrop and two subconsultants, Tice Engineering, Inc., and Biedenharn Group, LLC, to conduct a hydraulic study of the river, provide a hydraulic design for stream stability and countermeasures, and develop final Right-of-Way plans for bank stabilization and countermeasures.

Mendrop has worked diligently with the City of Batesville to enhance and preserve the Batesville Mounds Park – a Mississippi Designated Landmark and notable part of the Mississippi Mounds Trail. Work includes the planning and construction of a new parking pad, railroad crossing, river observation area, and two and a half miles of paved and natural walking trails.

Significant rain in February of 2020 caused landslides along Redwood Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi, resulting in approximately 1,000 feet of damage. Mendrop was contracted to provide erosion control plans, hydraulic design analysis, and roadway design plans.

Mendrop has partnered with Pinelands, LLC for over twenty years, providing civil engineering and construction engineering services for several residential and commercial developments. Work includes the development of grading plans and lot layouts, exhibits for rezoning paperwork, quantities, and cost estimates. Mendrop has also provided drainage plans, SWPPP and stormwater inspections, and topographic, LiDAR, boundary, easements, and ALTA surveys.
