Significant rain in February of 2020 caused landslides along Redwood Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi, resulting in approximately 1,000 feet of damage. Mendrop was contracted to provide erosion control plans, hydraulic design analysis, and roadway design plans.

A large portion of the LeTourneau Landing boat ramp at River Mile 426 of the Mississippi River had been buried under accumulated sediment over the years. In 2022, the Warren County Board of Supervisors retained Mendrop to provide dredging plans to restore the ramp’s river access. Mendrop collected all of the bathymetric and UAV LiDAR survey data to develop the dredging plans, which included the removal of approximately 8,500 cubic yards of material. Excavation of this material will restore the original dimensions and provide boat ramp access to the Mississippi River.

The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District contracted Mendrop to conduct a hydraulic study in order to perform dam breach analyses of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The goal of the study was to provide technical guidance for evaluating and potentially updating the existing Emergency Action Plan.

Mendrop has partnered with Pinelands, LLC for over twenty years, providing civil engineering and construction engineering services for several residential and commercial developments. Work includes the development of grading plans and lot layouts, exhibits for rezoning paperwork, quantities, and cost estimates. Mendrop has also provided drainage plans, SWPPP and stormwater inspections, and topographic, LiDAR, boundary, easements, and ALTA surveys.
