The downstream migration of an upstream channel bend was jeopardizing the embankment of State Route 42 and Bridge No. 107.9 over the Chickasawhay River.

Standard Construction Company contracted Mendrop to provide survey, and photogrammetry, and permitting services at multiple gravel pits and stock pile locations throughout Mississippi and Tennessee.

Mendrop has worked diligently with the City of Batesville to enhance and preserve the Batesville Mounds Park – a Mississippi Designated Landmark and notable part of the Mississippi Mounds Trail. Work includes the planning and construction of a new parking pad, railroad crossing, river observation area, and two and a half miles of paved and natural walking trails.

Significant rain in February of 2020 caused landslides along Redwood Road in Vicksburg, Mississippi, resulting in approximately 1,000 feet of damage. Mendrop was contracted to provide erosion control plans, hydraulic design analysis, and roadway design plans.

A large portion of the LeTourneau Landing boat ramp at River Mile 426 of the Mississippi River had been buried under accumulated sediment over the years.

The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District contracted Mendrop to conduct a hydraulic study in order to perform dam breach analyses of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The goal of the study was to provide technical guidance for evaluating and potentially updating the existing Emergency Action Plan.
